She won the Miss Sri-Lanka title in 2006 and also represented Sri-Lanka at the Miss Universe 2006.
Her father is Sri-Lankan and her mother is from Malaysian and Canadian descent.
Her great-grand parents were originally from Goa, India
She featured in her first commercial music video a year later, in 2007. Her Bollywood debut followed soon – in Aladin, in 2009.
She invests her money in business ventures and owns a restaurant in her birth city, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The restaurant chef’s is the well-known Japanese chef Dharshan. The menu highlights continental food but also features a few items from Jacqueline grandma’s recipe book.
She actually began her career as a journalist. She hosted television shows in Bahrain, when she was only 14 years old. She has a degree in Mass Communication from university in Australia.
