He has a twin brother, named Michael, who was born with cerebral palsy.
He studied Biochemical Engineering with the intent of developing a cure for his brother’s medical condition. However, he dropped out of the University of Iowa to pursue modelling.
He worked in the cereal department of General Mills, sweeping the floors.
He was arrested for breaking into his high school and was charged with third-degree burglary. He was sentenced to 3 year probation and although it cost him several potential scholarships, he said that the experience helped “straighten him out”.
He married Demi Moore in 2003. The couple split in 2011.
He got the role that made him famous during one of his first auditions: for the role of Michael Kelso in “That 70s Show”.
He used to donate blood to pay his fees through college.
